MTA Chapters Around the State
The Maine Trappers Assoc. has twelve chapters around the state. They are listed below. If you'd like information on a chapter, please go to the CONTACT US page and send a message, or email the contact listed below (if there is one). They all welcome new members.
1. Penobscot River Chapter - Meets on the first Monday of each month at the Penobscot County Conservation Assoc. clubhouse in Brewer 7pm. Jon Daigle, President
2. Aroostook County - Meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at the Washburn town office. Pot Luck Supper at every meeting, 6PM Contact: tpinette1@roadrunner.com
3. Capitol Area - Meetings: the last Wednesday of the month at the Sportsman Alliance of Maine building 205 Church Hill Road, Augusta Maine at 6 pm. For more info Contact: Billy Holt - Vice President duckdowner1997@gmail.com Heather Holt – Secretary
4. Central Coastal - Meets monthly at the Wiscasset Rod & Gun Club on Rt 27 in Wiscasset, last Sunday of each month, 6:00 PM. John Oaks is contact person. ( email us for phone # )
5. Central Maine - We are now meeting at the Palmyra Town Hall/Community Center on Rt 2 (former elementary school). Meetings are on the first Thursday of the month 6 months of the year (not January, June, July, October, November) and the September picnic is usually held on a Sunday in September at Dan & Sally McAllister’s. Potluck suppers start at 6:00 and meetings begin at 6:45. Call Ted at 207-570-6243 for more information.

7. Northern Coastal - Meets monthly, 2nd Thursday of the month, pot luck at 6 pm meeting at 7:00PM except for the middle of summer. Location moved to Snowpackers Snowmobile Club in Belfast. New members welcome.
8. Southern Aroostook - Meets monthly on the second Sunday, location moves around between 3 different towns (Island Falls, Sherman areas). Contact Jeff Mitchell at 207-365-4188 for info.
9. York County - Meets on the second Sunday of each month, 6 PM, at the North Berwick Rod & Gun Club
10. Union River - www.unionrivertrappers.org Meet the second Wednesday each month at 6pm Ellsworth VFW Hall . To join the chapter, call Paul Favolise, 483.4779. No Meeting in November. .
11. Western Maine Chapter - Meets 2nd Thursday of the month at 6:30 pm at the Legion Hall in Kezar Falls West –Day Post 123. All trappers are welcome to come over. Contact Brian Cogill 793 4605.
12. Pleasant River Chapter
Carrabasset Valley Trappers Club - This club is not a chapter, but all of it's members are MTA members, most of them Lifetime. They meet on the 2nd Sunday of each month at 6:00PM at Jerry's LeBeau's in North Anson. At each meeting there is a raffle, a buffet and usually a guest speaker and a demo.
